My name is Sue-Jean (with a hyphen capital J; 성수진 in Korean), and I respond instinctually to Sue or SJ. My pronouns are she/her/hers. I was born outside of Chicago and raised in coastal New Jersey, a place near and dear to my heart.
For the last nine years, I have been hopping between San Francisco and Santa Cruz. I spent one of those based in South Korea and am now back to being a resident of one of San Francisco’s most westward neighborhoods, the Outer Sunset.
Solito and Poverty, by America are two of my favorite recent reads. I get misty-eyed when I experience live music, and I might identify a little too much with dogs and sea otters. Moments that make me feel small, like floating in the ocean or standing on a mountain peak, make me feel whole.
Happy to connect; my preferred medium is in person.
